Metro do Porto is one of the largest light rail networks in Europe, operating in 6 lines with a length of 67 km and having 82 stations.

Its performance causes very positive impacts on society and on the territory, in social, environmental and economic terms, contributing in a relevant way to a more sustainable mobility in the Oporto Metropolitan Area.

The fleet of Metro do Porto integrates 102 units, with the capacity to carry up to 9 thousand people per hour and per direction, during the periods of greater demand.

The models used are 72 units of the Eurotram model and 30 units of the Flexity Swift model (Tram-Train), both manufactured by Bombardier. The former has metro characteristics that are eminently light and urban, while the latter is mainly intended for suburban and longer connections, with a greater number of seats.

The configuration of a single vehicle has a length in the order of 35 meters. The vehicles can be coupled in sets of two, forming double compositions.
